Corn bread is one of my favorites; the texture, the sweetness combined with saltiness and the feeling of home it gives me. I’m always happy Thanksgiving is coming and I get reminded it’s this corn bread time of the year.

If you feel the same, lets get cooking 🙂

 Ingredients:

1. One cup cornmeal

2. One cup all purpose flour

3. Three teaspoons baking powder

4. One teaspoon salt

5. Two spoons sugar

6. One cup milk

7. Quarter of a cup oill

8. One egg

9. Half a cup corn kerneld

Step By Step:

1. Sift together cornmeal,  flour and baking powder

2. Mix oil, milk, sugar and egg

3. Pour wet ingredients over the dry ingredients and min until well combined.

4. Add corn kernels and stir

5. Grease loaf pan

6. Pour batter into the loaf pan

7. Bake at 420 F for 30 minutes

8. Cool down, slice and serve

Recipe Tip:
You can bake the corn bread in muffins pan. Scoop the batter using ice cream scoop and bake it for 13 minutes.
ParenTIP:
Discuss the terms “wet ingredients” and “dry ingredients”.
Ask your child which of the ingredients are wet and which are dry. then,Touch the ingredients to feel whether they are wet or dry.
